Located along the ancient Via Campana, it is linked to the cult of the Christian martyrs Simplicio, Faustino and Beatrice, victims of persecution under Diocletian in 303 AD. c.
Eighty years later, with Pope Damasus, a basilica was erected in memory of all the martyrs buried. The visits are carried out on the basis of a scheduled calendar and managed by the Generosa Catacombs Committee.
